Malawi joins the global community to commemorate World Radio Day 2025
Malawi is joining the global
community today to commemorate World Radio Day 2025, which is being
held under the theme “Radio and Climate Change.”
This year’s national celebration, hosted by the #MACRA in collaboration with the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) and five community radio stations, is taking place at Chikho Hotel in Kasungu.
The Minister of Information and Digitalization, Honourable Moses Kunkuyu Kalongashawa is presiding over the ceremony.
This year’s celebrations in Malawi are being hosted by #MACRA, in collaboration with UNESCO, and five community radio stations, namely: Mudziwathu Community Radio, Dowa Community Radio, Ntchisi Youth Radio, Kasungu Community Radio, and Mtuthama Radio (Kasungu).
